Jim did like to leave an impression, one way or another. And everyone admitted it made for a good story, even though it was a head-scratcher at the same time.
Kirk couldn't argue with the press for a fire and a warm meal. He enjoyed the woods as much as the next man, but even he had a respect for these places when the night set in and he suddenly moved a lot further down the food chain. Though, knowing Bones, there was probably nothing more threatening than an oversized rabbit in these parts. Thankfully a fire wasn't hard to start and soon enough the smells of the forest mixed with their meal.
"You know I think this might be the first homemade meal I've had in..." he paused, his eyes drifting skyward as he thought. "Well, a long enough time I can't actually pick a time frame that won't sound depressing."
