Once they made it back to their tent, he started piling a few of the logs together, some twigs as well so it'd be easier to start the fire, and rocks drawing a circle around it to keep that fire contained. After he managed a flame with a lighter, it was easy enough to build from that, the twigs and logs both decently dried and catching fairly quickly.
"Yeah? Well, you're not the only one who's been stuck on a starship for the past three years or so," he pointed out with a huff, yet still smiling, amused. "I'm not sure this qualifies as 'homemade', though I'll gladly cook something for you proper some other time. Maybe one of my ma's recipes, if you like."
