[ She's not entirely convinced it'll work, either, but one strategy is better than zero. She's grasping at straws here, but if there's a chance it works, then it's well worth the roll of the dice. Once the devices are all haphazardly connected, she attempts to send a file out from the tricorder to the Enterprise's main frame. The signal flickers a moment, attempting to connect, cycling through its process a moment before flashing red. ]

Shit.

[ She sighs, flipping the satellite dish on to scan for signal and hooking the tricorder up to a power source before sitting back. ]

Guess it'd be too easy if it worked on the first try, right? [ She leans back on the rock next to him, pulling her knees up to her chest and watching the display cycle. Resting her arms on her knees, she glances over to where the sun is setting, the clouds low on the horizon casting a bright orange haze along the valley of trees below them. ]

Well. At least neither of us is totally concussed tonight. That's a win, right?
