Exactly. Trust me, this is for the best. I'm the doctor here, I know what I'm doing.

[ She's pretty good as a patient right now, at least. She doesn't struggle or move, nor does she try to insist that she's fine and it's just a scratch. Jim would probably be fighting him and trying to get up at this point, so her attitude is very much appreciated. ]

I don't think so. A few scratches, and I think I hit my head, but it just hurts when I touch it. It's probably just a bump. I'll check it out after I'm done with you.

[ He's not going to risk dying from internal bleeding, obviously, but she's in a worse state than he is, anyway. With her shredded shirt out of the way, it's easier for him to take in the damage, and after a visual examination puts some of his worries to rest, he reaches for the diagnostic wrap, pulling it open and slowly moving it over her from head to toe. It's quick to bring out areas of greater damage, which he promptly reads out to her. ]

Dislocated shoulder, mild concussion... the injuries you're bleeding from aren't too severe. You have a cracked rib but it's nothing too serious, you just have to make sure not to move too much. No internal bleeding, either.

[ He puts the wrap away, going through the rest of his tools and supplies. ]

You'll be right as rain as soon as I get you to sickbay, but for now let's stop that bleeding and patch you up. You'll need to eat something too, and drink just a bit of water. Sound good?
